Executive Summary
The Pirates of Cookietown is the dream work of “Big Kenny” Alphin, formed over the past decade, and represents a multi-media adventure incorporating novels, children’s books, soundtrack albums, merchandizing, animation and live action movies and adaptations for both stage and screen. And the adaptation for a modern day sailing vessel rigged to carry performers and staging for theatrical and musical production of world class to every port of call around the present day globe.
The Pirates of Cookietown book, currently being written by Big Kenny and T.D. Griffith, an author with more than fifty works to his credit, features original artwork by the incomparable Oregon artist, Gabriel.
The children’s classic draws on a simplified version of the overall concept, as well as soundtrack lyrics and moving art to entertain and convey important life lessons.
The musical soundtrack by Big Kenny illuminates the story’s dramatic plot points and provides the aural backdrop for this sweeping journey through time. Along the way, these visual lyrics bring a rag-tag collection of old-school characters to life in our brave new world, telling tales of adventure and loss, of heroes and villains, of time-tested truisms and the ongoing battle against absolute ignorance.
The Pirates of Cookietown is not only a great heart-felt adventure story. It also is intended to explore an appreciation for the awesome and fragile beauty that surrounds us, the importance of relationships, tolerance for those “different” from ourselves, and the innate ability within each individual to make a real difference in our world and in our collective future. The Hero in us all.
This is The Pirates of Cookietown – portraying imaginable places and deeds that remain infinitely doable.
